VARIOUS TRAILERS & KEY ART
As well as developing and writing a number of DAZN Originals documentaries (The Making Of, Neymar Jr & the Line of Kings, Fearless) I’ve also worked on the global launch campaigns for around a dozen unscripted feature-length films and original series, writing the trailers and coming up with design concepts for the film posters.
Selected highlights include:
THE PHENOMENON
The Phenomenon is a feature-length documentary that delves into incredible highs and the immense lows experienced by the original Ronaldo – regarded by many of one of the greatest footballers of all time. The film weaves together candid interviews, personal footage and direct testimonies from Ronaldo and his family, as well as legendary teammates and rivals.
The film poster splices together two of the most iconic moments in Ronaldo’s career – despair in World Cup 98 and jubilation in World Cup 2002 – to reflect the narrative of the film.
WORLD CUP ORIGINALS
Ahead of Qatar 2022, DAZN released a number of World Cup documentaries. Green Lions tells the inspiring untold story of Cameroon’s 1990 FIFA World Cup heroes, while Maradona: The Fall is an explosive look behind the scenes of one of the biggest controversies in World Cup history: Argentina superstar, and the most famous footballer at the time, Diego Maradona being expelled from USA ‘94 following a positive drugs test. For the key art, I fully embraced the early 90s aesthetic to help catapult fans back in time to the iconic era.

THE GAME THAT CHANGED FOOTBALL
On March 21 2022, the attendance record for a women’s football match was smashed as over 90,000 fans crammed in to Camp Nou to watch Barcelona vs. Real Madrid. This moment in history set off a chain of events that saw records tumble all across Europe in the following 12 months. The Game That Changed Football tells the story of this pivotal match. For the key art, I opted for an editorial aesthetic, to emphasise the headline-worthy importance of this moment in time.
LA GUERRA CIVIL
La Guerra Civil is a documentary that depicts the rivalry between Oscar de la Hoya and Julio Cesar Chavez in the 1990s, and the cultural impact it had amongst Mexican nationals and Mexican Americans. Produced and directed by Eva Longoria Bastón, the film was featured at the Sundance Film Festival in 2022.
RONALDO: EL PRESIDENTE
Ronaldo: El Presidente is a six-part series that follows the Brazilian football legend as he takes on a new challenge as president of La Liga club Real Valladolid. I worked on the trailer and hero artwork and came up with the tagline for the show.
ONE TEAM, ONE DREAM
One Team, One Dream was the first documentary to give a fully immersive and behind-the-scenes look at elite women’s football. The film follows a three-year period (2019-2021) where Chelsea were fighting to regain their status as the best team in the country, while battling issues on and off the pitch.
