Ahead of the Europe-wide release of Ridley Scott’s Napoleon, DAZN collaborated with Sony Pictures on an exclusive trailer to run during a month of blockbuster boxing events on our platform.

By seamlessly integrating trailer footage with our boxing archive and incorporating a compelling voiceover (by DAZN Boxing’s lead presenter Ade Oladipo) that echoed the rags-to-riches story prevalent in boxing, we created an elevated narrative that engaged the target audience on a much deeper level. The resulting mashup trailer strongly resonated with Sony, leading them to request two additional versions tailored for Spain and DACH regions – the former voiced by European super-lightweight champion Sandor Martin. This expansion underscored the effectiveness of our storytelling approach and demonstrated the widespread appeal of the narrative we had crafted.
